A special screening event with a stage greeting for the V-Cinema sequel "No.1 Sentai Gozyuger VS Boonboomger" (showing for a limited time from March 20th) was held on March 18th at Shinjuku Wald 9 (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo), with the main cast in attendance. During the event , Miu Suzuki, who played Bunpink/Mirai Shibuto, expressed her gratitude to Kohaku Shida, who played Gojuunicorn/ Sumino Ichikawa.
Suzuki said that after the first episode of "Boonboomger " aired, Tsukaji Takeya of the comedy duo "Drunk Dragon," who is a fan of tokusatsu and co-stars with her on another program, pointed out that her facial expressions were "overdone," and advised her to take inspiration from Shida, who also appeared in "Boutarou Sentai Don Brothers."
Suzuki revealed, "I was told that since Kohaku Shida is pop and cute, I should try playing Mira based on her," and thanked Shida, whom she was meeting for the first time that day, saying, "I have been using her as a reference." Shida was surprised but delighted, saying, "Thank you! I'm so happy!"
Shida played Oni Sister/Haruka Kitou in "Don Brothers," which aired from 2022 to 2023, and last November, she took over the role of Goju Unicorn/ Sumino Ichikawa Maya Imamori from episode 40 of " No.1 Sentai Gozyuger ," replacing Maya Imamori, who left the show midway through.
The stage greetings that day were attended by Mio Fuyuno , Masakazu Kanda Seiji, Jin Matsumoto Jin, Shida, and Kimura Kaiki from " No.1 Sentai Gozyuger ," and Haruhi Iuchi, Yuki Hayama, Suzuki, and Yu Miyazawa from " Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger ."
This film features a crossover between " No.1 Sentai Gozyuger, " the Super Sentai series that aired its final episode in February, and " Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger," which aired until February of last year. It is a culmination of the 50th anniversary of the Super Sentai series and the 30th anniversary of the VS series. Announced under Toei's "V-Cinema Next" label, it will have a limited theatrical release before being released on Blu-ray (BD) and DVD on July 29th.
