Actress Kohaku Shida appeared on stage at the fastest screening event with a stage greeting for the V-Cinema sequel "No.1 Sentai Gozyuger VS Boonboomger " (which will be screened for a limited time starting March 20th), held at Shinjuku Wald 9 (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo) on March 18th.
Shida took over the role of Goju Unicorn/ Sumino Ichikawa from episode 40 of " No.1 Sentai Gozyuger" (aired November 30th), replacing Maya Imamori who had left the show midway through. On this day, she greeted everyone cutely, saying, "I'm Shida Kohaku, playing the Sumino Ichikawa, who is super cute!"
Shida, who played Oni Sister/Haruka Kitou in the 2022-2023 Super Sentai series "Boutarou Sentai Don Brothers," revealed that this was her "third V-Cinema Next," prompting Mio Fuyuno , who plays Goju Wolf/ Hoeru Tono, to tease her by calling her "senior," to which Shida retorted, "Do you really think so (laughs)!" showing their great chemistry.
She said it was her first time meeting the cast of " Boonboomger, " and added with a smile, "It was our first time meeting, but I played the yellow warrior in the past... and I was behind the wheel back then. I felt a strong connection to them, and I was really looking forward to meeting them today!"
The audience erupted in laughter at a comment referencing episode 40 of "Don Brothers," titled "Dangerous Love Ride," which depicts Haruka's reckless driving and has become a legendary episode of the show. When MC Miyajima Sakura pointed out, "You shouldn't be holding the steering wheel," he replied, "I shouldn't be holding the steering wheel, huh? I might hit someone..." which drew even more laughter.
The stage greeting was attended by Mio Fuyuno, Hideharu Suzuki, Masakazu Kanda Seiji, Jin Matsumoto , Shida, and Kimura Kaiki from " No.1 Sentai Gozyuger ," and Haruhi Iuchi, Yuki Hayama, Miu Suzuki, and Yu Miyazawa from " Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger ."
This film features a crossover between " No.1 Sentai Gozyuger, " the Super Sentai series that aired its final episode in February, and " Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger," which aired until February of last year. It is a culmination of the 50th anniversary of the Super Sentai series and the 30th anniversary of the VS series. Announced under Toei's "V-Cinema Next" label, it will have a limited theatrical release before being released on Blu-ray (BD) and DVD on July 29th.
