Actor Ryohei Suzuki attended the "Traitor Summit" event for his starring TBS Sunday drama "Reboot" (Sundays at 9pm), held in Tokyo on March 17th.
When it was announced at the event that the final episode (episode 10) would air on March 29th, Suzuki's 43rd birthday, Suzuki expressed her delight at the coincidence, saying, "It's a very fateful connection. It's just a coincidence, though. It was delayed by a week because of the election." She then added, "Since we're on the subject, let me make it clear that there won't be a 'continuation in the movie' or a 'season 2'. On March 29th, it will have the most exciting ending. Please watch it. Make my birthday the best day ever."
To celebrate Suzuki's birthday, a cake decorated with a portrait of Gido appeared on stage. Suzuki expressed her delight, saying, "I've been celebrated by the staff on set before, but this is the first time I've been celebrated like this in front of all of you who enjoy the drama, together with my co-stars, and I'm very grateful."
The event, which attracted 1200 people, featured appearances by Erika Toda, who plays Ichika; Ren Nagase of the popular group "King & Prince," who plays Fuyuhashi; Ko Yazaki, who plays Takumi; Takeya Tsukaji of the comedy duo "Drunk Dragon," who plays Kikuchi, a subordinate of Goroku (Yukiya Kitamura); and Tsutomu Kuroiwa, who wrote the script. The event will be available for paid streaming until the 31st.
