On March 28th, NHK E-TV's children's program "Okaasan to Issho" (Monday-Saturday, 7:45 AM) aired its first episode featuring the gymnastics instructor, Azuki Akimoto, also known as "Azuki-oneesan," graduating from the show. Many viewers on social media are expressing their sadness at her departure.
On that day, the program featured footage from a "Family Concert" held in Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture, showing the energetic singing and dancing of the older brothers and sisters on stage. At the end of the program, Akimoto and the new "dance sister," Ange, appeared and gave their farewells. They then performed "Karada☆Dandan" and "Kinrakira Pon," concluding Akimoto's seven-year role as the gymnastics sister.
Akimoto began rhythmic gymnastics at the age of six and competed as an athlete for 13 years. From April 2019 for seven years, she served as the first gymnastics instructor. On Wednesdays, she hosted the "Ota Magic Show" segment, where she played sound quizzes with her "friends," and she also performed well-coordinated acrobatic gymnastics routines with the current gymnastics instructor, Kazumu Sakumoto, also known as "Kazumu-oniisan."
Comments on social media include "I've been crying since this morning!!!", "Thank you so much, Azuki-oneesan", "I'm bawling my eyes out over Azuki-oneesan's graduation", and "I'm going to miss Azuki-oneesan for a while."
