Coral is often imagined as motionless, like a rock or a plant. But in reality, it's a very dynamic organism. Using special effects, we've successfully captured footage of coral battles and walking coral.
The program explores the fascinating relationship between coral and symbiotic algae, microorganisms that live within its tissues. Furthermore, it closely follows Okinawan fishermen who are working tirelessly to protect coral reefs from the recent surge in coral bleaching, a phenomenon caused by global warming that leads to coral death. The program also features rare footage of baby coral swimming.
