The car-enthusiast comedy duo "Ogiyahagi" explores the "car history" of their guests in "Ogiyahagi's Car History: NO CAR, NO LIFE!" (BS Nippon Television, Saturdays at 9 PM). On the July 4th broadcast, actor Koji Utsumi will appear as a guest for the second time, and the show will feature "Automobile Council," an event celebrating automotive culture.
When they visited the booth featuring the Lamborghini Countach, which debuted in 1974, everyone was astonished to learn that the LP400S "Series 1" parked in front of them was an extremely rare car, with only 50 units ever produced. Mr. Utsumi revealed that Kazumi Morohoshi, also known as "Ka-kun," a member of the group "Hikaru Genji," had purchased this Countach when he was 17 years old, and shared some anecdotes from that time.
Next, we visited the booth displaying the extremely rare "Porsche 904 Carrera GTS," of which only two exist in the world. Since one of them is owned by the Porsche Museum in Germany, this is said to be the only one in the world that is still drivable, making it an "ultra-rare treasure."
When they were given a special tour of the engine compartment, they were overjoyed, exclaiming, "I don't know how it opens!" and "Is that how it's built?! How unusual!!" Then, when the astonishing selling price of 1.8 billion yen was revealed, Ken Yahagi shouted, "That's the most expensive car I've ever seen!"
