The TBS Sunday drama "VIVANT," starring actor Masato Sakai, will begin its sequel on July 26th. Of the 10 episodes of the first season, which have been scheduled for an encore broadcast, episode 8 will air on TBS (Kanto local) on July 4th at 1:58 AM.
In episode 8, Nogi Yusuke (played by Sakai) and his special unit infiltrate a tent meeting and capture Nokoru (played by Kazunari Ninomiya). However, in the next moment, Nogi takes the shocking action of sniping his fellow members of the special unit one after another.
Nogi's desire to fulfill his goals, even at the cost of betraying his special unit and, by extension, his country. And then, he finally reunites with his father, Beki (played by Koji Yakusho), after 40 years.
Nogi, who betrayed the other unit; Beki, the leader of the tent; and Nokoru, who has supported Beki as an executive—their respective feelings become intertwined...
Meanwhile, the sequel begins immediately after the last scene of the previous film. Just as Nogi returns from a series of missions involving the international terrorist organization "Tent," he sees a red bun placed in a shrine.
It was a signal announcing an emergency summons for a separate unit. What exactly was happening behind the scenes on that day when Nogi fired a bullet at his father, Nogorn Beki (played by Koji Yakusho), who was also the leader of the tent, and when he reunited with Kaoru (played by Fumi Nikaido) and Jameen and embraced them?
The truth will be revealed in the first episode of the sequel.
