It has been announced that Yoshino Aoyama will voice the main character, Teru Kurebayashi, in the TV anime "Dengeki Daisy," which is based on the shojo manga by Kyosuke Saitomi that was serialized in "Betsucomi" (Shogakukan) from 2007 to 2013. Taku Yashiro will voice Yu Kurosaki, a blonde delinquent school janitor. A teaser PV, which will be revealed in the anime's main footage, has also been released on YouTube.
Aoyama commented, "I am so happy that we can deliver 'Dengeki Daisy,' which is blossoming now more than ever, by combining the world depicted by Kyosuke Saitomi with the expressive methods unique to animation. I will give my all to the role of Teru, who is full of emotions. Thank you for your support."
Yashiro said, "I want to do my best to portray his turbulent life. I would be very happy if many people could enjoy this anime!"
"Dengeki Daisy" tells the story of Teru Kurebayashi, a high school girl who lost her only remaining relative, her brother Souichiro. After breaking a window, she ends up working as a servant to Yu Kurosaki, a school janitor who is foul-mouthed and demanding but kindly watches over Teru. Her encounter with Kurosaki drastically changes Teru's destiny... The unique story, which blends romance and suspense, has made it popular and continues to be loved even after its completion.
The anime will be directed by Sota Ueno, with series composition by Sawako Hirabayashi, character design by Ayaka Murakami, and music by Masaru Yokoyama. It will be produced by Studio Deen and will air in 2027.
