To commemorate the broadcast of the TV anime "Kore Kaite Shine," based on the manga by Mitsuru Adachi Toyoda, which has been making headlines for being selected for the Manga Taisho 2023 and the 70th Shogakukan Manga Award, eight renowned manga artists, including Mitsuru Adachi, Rumiko Takahashi Gosho Aoyama, have released specially drawn illustrations to show their support.
The illustrations, released on June 24th on the anime's official X account (@korekaite_shine) as a countdown to the broadcast, feature original drawings of characters from "Kore Kaite Shine" by Soichiro Yamamoto, Daijiro Morohoshi, Ryoji Minagawa, Kazuhiro Fujita, Hiroyuki Nishimori, Takahashi, Kazuhiko Shimamoto, Adachi, and Aoyama.
"Kore Kaite Shine" is a manga x high school girl coming-of-age story that has been serialized in "Gessan" (Shogakukan) since 2021. It depicts a high school girl who is fascinated by manga and forms a manga research club with her friends, struggling to find what she wants to draw. The protagonist, Ai Yasumi, is a first-year high school student living on Izu-Ojima, an island off the coast of Tokyo, who loves to read manga, and after a certain incident, she begins to think about drawing manga herself.
The anime will be directed by Teasing Master Takagi-san The Dangers in My Heart," and produced by Shin-Ei Animation. Akira Sekine will voice So Ankai, and other cast members include Saori Saori Hayami Teshima, Saya Hitomi as Kokoro Fujimori, Inori Minase Fujimura as Yuki Akabuku, Noriko Hidaka as Pokota. It will air on Nippon Television's anime block "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT (FuraAni)" every Friday at 11:30 p.m. starting July 3rd on a network of 30 stations nationwide. The first episode will air at 11:35 p.m.
