The 50th episode of the NHK morning drama series " Kaze,Kaoru " (NHK General, Monday-Saturday 8:00 AM, etc.), starring Ai Mikami and Juri Kosaka, aired on June 5th, and viewers reacted to the actions of Shimaken (Asadora ).
As Naomi (Uesaka) nurses the prostitute Yunagi (Murakami Honoka), Gonda (Umegaki Yoshiaki), the owner of the brothel, appears and tries to forcibly take Yunagi away. However, Yoshi (Akeboshi Mayumi), a nurse who was once a shrewd madam who "coerced prostitutes," cleverly sends Gonda away and tells Yunagi, "At a time like this, you should rest."
Rin, who happened to be there, went to Mizuho-ya with the sole desire to help Yunagi and consulted with Usaburo (played by Bandō Yajūrō). However, Usaburo said, "Even if you save that one prostitute, the system of the red-light district will not change," and bowed his head, saying, "I'm sorry, I can't do anything." Then Usaburo showed Rin a newspaper article introducing an anti-prostitution activist who was promoting the free retirement of prostitutes.
After reading the article, Rin exclaimed, "I'm going to go meet this person," and hurried out of the shop. She made eye contact with Shimaken, who happened to be at Mizuho-ya, but she bowed and ran off. Having overheard the whole exchange, Shimaken looked somewhat sad and watched Rin's retreating figure.
On social media, comments included "Why didn't he chase after her!", "Why didn't he talk to her?", "Shimaken looked dejected because he finally got to meet her but didn't have time to talk to her", and "He couldn't even say anything to Rin...", as well as comments such as "Shimaken, did you come up with an idea?", "It looks like there's something he can do to help", "He seems like he can be of assistance", "Shimaken, write about it in the newspaper!", "I wonder if Shimaken will take some kind of action...", and "Will he get involved in the anti-prostitution movement?".
