It has been announced that the stage adaptation of the "Reze Arc" from Tatsuki Fujimoto's popular manga "Chainsaw Man," titled "Chainsaw Man Man: The Stage - Reze Arc," will be performed in Tokyo at the Tennozu Galaxy Theatre (Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo) from July 25th to August 2nd, and in Kyoto at the Kyoto Theatre (Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto) from August 7th to 12th. In addition to the main visual featuring Denji, Reze, and other characters, and individual character visuals, the first set of "moment visuals" capturing the moment when Denji and Reze meet and grow closer has been released.
The "Reze Arc" was released as a theatrical anime film on September 19, 2025, and was a huge hit, grossing 10.74 billion yen and attracting over 7.06 million viewers in 181 days. This will be the first time "Chainsaw Man" has been adapted for the stage since the first installment, "Chainsaw Man: The Stage," which was performed in Tokyo and Kyoto from September to October 2023. For the second installment, "Reze Arc," Naotake Tsuchiya will reprise his role as Denji, Mizuki Umezu as Aki Hayakawa, Mahiru Koda as Power, Masahide Tada and Yutaka Nakasone as Chainsaw Man, and Aya Hirano as Makima. It has also been announced that Yutaro will play the Angel Devil, Hayate Kajiwara will play the Shark Devil/Beam, Masahide Funaki will play the Violence Devil, and Mai Kaida and Mayu Ikeda will play Bomb. Former AKB48 idol group member Yui Soma will play the main character, Reze. Fumiya Matsuzaki will continue as scriptwriter and director, Shunsuke Wada will compose the music, and HIDALI will be in charge of choreography.
"Chainsaw Man" is a dark hero action series depicting the adventures of Denji, a boy who harbors a devil within him, as he works as a devil hunter. Part 1 was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from December 2018 to December 2020. Part 2 began serialization in July 2022 on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+" and concluded on March 25th. The cumulative circulation of the comic books exceeds 35 million copies. A TV anime adaptation aired from October to December 2022.
