The final episode of the drama series "Galaxy Vote" (Kansai TV/Fuji TV, Mondays at 10 PM), starring actress Haru Kuroki, aired on June 29th. Viewers were surprised by the casual appearance of a legendary voice actor towards the end of the episode.
◇The following contains spoilers.
The end credits that rolled towards the end included the name of voice actress Mina Tominaga, known for her role as Katsuo in the popular anime "Sazae-san." However, at the time Tominaga's name appeared in the end credits, she had not yet appeared in the film.
Some time after her name was announced, Tominaga appeared in a scene recording the voiceover for the animated film "Fururun Kukka! 2: The Movie," which was featured in the film. Tominaga played Kukka, Fururun's partner. She participated in the voiceover alongside Noriko Hidaka, the voice actress for Hikaru Shiratori, who played Fururun. The two voiced the catchphrase "Energy! Courage! Let the flowers bloom!" together. The scene lasted about 10 seconds.
On social media, people were excited, saying things like, "In the final voice-over scene, I noticed that Tominaga Mina was behind Noriko Hidaka! I thought it was such a treat," "It really was Tominaga Mina! The credits were subtle, yet the casting was so luxurious," "Tominaga Mina's name appeared in the end credits, so I thought, 'Huh! Where was she?!' and it turned out to be in the voice-over scene right after!", "I was surprised when Tominaga Mina just casually appeared," and "I'm so grateful that we got to see the voice-over scene with Noriko Hidaka and Tominaga Mina."
The drama is an "election entertainment" story in which Mari Hoshino recruits Akari Tsukioka, a bar owner with no political experience, to run for governor of Tokyo, and takes on the gubernatorial election as her campaign strategist.
