Nippon Television has announced that it will broadcast a new music special, "Thank You to 120 Million People: A Festival of Musical Gratitude," on May 6th. With "gratitude" as its theme, the program will feature beloved classics and the latest hit songs that transcend generations and genres, and will be hosted by Shota Watanabe of the popular group Snow Man and actress Haru.
This program looks back at songs that have accompanied people through various moments in their lives, using rare archival footage from Nippon Television. It will feature famous songs that colored the Showa era, as well as footage of representative artists from the Heisei era. In addition, it will present hit songs and popular songs from the first half of the year with special performances by the artists themselves.
The broadcast will begin at 7 PM on May 6th. The performing artists will be announced at a later date.
