It has been announced that WOWOW will exclusively broadcast and stream live the concert by the German metal band Helloween, which will be held at Tokyo Garden Theater (Koto Ward, Tokyo) on May 10th.
Helloween will celebrate their 40th anniversary in 2025 and have released their second album with the current members, "Giants & Monsters." From October, they took part in the first half of their 40th anniversary tour across Europe. This tour featured not only their classic songs and new tracks from the album, but also songs they hadn't performed in a long time. This year, after a North American tour in April, they will be coming to Japan on May 7th at Festival Hall (Kita-ku, Osaka) and on May 9th and 10th at Tokyo Garden Theater (the 9th is an additional performance).
WOWOW will broadcast and stream the Tokyo performance on May 10th live from 5 PM on WOWOW Live and WOWOW On Demand, under the title "Live Broadcast! Halloween Live in Japan 2026 -HELLOWEEN 40 YEARS ANNIVERSARY TOUR-".
Additionally, on May 7th at 8 PM, "Halloween Live at Budokan -HELLOWEEN UNITED FORCES 2023-" will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW Live and WOWOW On Demand, featuring footage from Halloween's first performance at the Nippon Budokan in 2023.
As a related feature, 10 hard rock (HR)/heavy metal (HM) live performances will be available for a limited time on WOWOW On Demand starting May 1st.
