The synopsis and still images for the second episode of the Fuji TV Monday Getsuku drama "Saba-can, Going to Space," starring actor Takumi Kitamura , which airs on April 30th, have been released.
Shunichi Asano (played by Kitamura), a new teacher, sets a goal with the students of Wakasa Fisheries High School: to turn canned mackerel into space food. To achieve this, obtaining HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) certification, a food safety management system developed by NASA for producing space food, is an absolute requirement.
Nami Sugawara ( Natsuki Deguchi) shows her enthusiasm, saying, "Let's launch it anywhere we can, even into space!" She and Sosuke Terao (Kodai Kurosaki), Nagisa Fukuhara (Touha Natsume), and Yuzuki Sasaki (Yumepote) unite as one.
However, Haruka Kikuchi (Marin Nishimoto), who had transferred from Tokyo, couldn't adjust to the atmosphere and would get depressed whenever she saw her friends' social media posts from Tokyo, wishing she could go back. One day, while she was minding the dry cleaning shop run by her parents, Asano came in as a customer.
Around the same time, Makoto Kijima (Ryunosuke Kamiki), who had become in charge of developing Japanese space food at JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency), was pondering the most important aspect of food safety in order to create new standards for the "Draft Japanese Space Food Certification Standards."
The drama is an original coming-of-age story based on the true story of students at a fisheries high school in Fukui Prefecture who challenged themselves to achieve their big dream of "developing space food."
