It has been announced that footage of Jung Yong-hwa, a member of the South Korean rock band CNBLUE, holding a solo concert at Tokyo Garden Theater (Koto Ward, Tokyo) in February will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW on May 31st. In addition, it was also announced that footage of CNBLUE's latest and past concerts in Japan, including this solo concert, will be broadcast and streamed for four consecutive months.
CNBLUE consists of three members: Jung Yong-hwa (vocals & guitar), Kang Min-hyuk (drums), and Lee Jung-shin (bass). In a Korean music scene dominated by dance groups, they have led the Korean rock scene with their band-style sound. Before their debut, they honed their musical skills by performing in live music venues and on the streets of Japan. They made their Korean debut in 2010 and their major debut in Japan in 2011.
This year marks the 15th anniversary of their major debut in Japan, and CNBLUE is currently on their world tour, "2026 CNBLUE LIVE WORLD TOUR '3LOGY'," with arena performances in Yokohama, Aichi, and Kobe in Japan in May.
Furthermore, Jung Yong-hwa released his latest album "One Last Day" on February 11th and held solo concerts at Tokyo Garden Theater on the 24th and 25th of the same month. These concerts in Japan were in support of the album, a special edition that includes original Japanese songs in addition to the mini-album released in Korea in July 2025, as well as a Japanese version of the lead track "Night Runner (Shooting Star)".
WOWOW will broadcast and stream footage of Jung Yonghwa's solo live performance from February 25th, titled "Jung Yonghwa '2026 JUNG YONGHWA SOLO LIVE IN JAPAN "One Last Day"'", on WOWOW Live and WOWOW On Demand from 3 PM on May 31st.
Furthermore, to commemorate the four-month-long special feature, WOWOW will be giving away T-shirts signed by Jung Yong-hwa to three lucky subscribers via a lottery.
