Former AKB48 member and talent Mitsuho Fukutome appeared on the popular variety show "Shikujiri Sensei: Don't Be Like Me!!" which was streamed on ABEMA on April 10th. She talked about the struggles she faced after graduating from AKB48.
On that day's program, the "extremely turbulent life" of Colonel Sanders, the founder of the popular fast-food chain Kentucky Fried Chicken, was featured.
It was revealed that when he started the company at the age of 65, he was "penniless and living in his car," and the cast members were impressed by Colonel Sanders' "ability to find something to do."
Guest Fukutome reflected on her time graduating from AKB48, confessing, "I wasn't popular (at the time), so when I wondered what to do next, the only thing I could think of was to 'wear a swimsuit.'" She candidly added, "I thought I would get 'likes' if I wore a swimsuit. I was so fixated on that that all I could say to my agency was, 'Please let me do swimsuit gravure.'"
