Actor Masaki Okada appeared at a special premiere event for the TBS Friday drama "Takusari Brothers" held in Tokyo on April 15th. This was his first public appearance since announcing the birth of his first child on January 28th.
Okada and actress Mitsuki Takahata announced their marriage on November 19, 2024, via their respective Instagram accounts. On July 16, 2025, they announced that Takahata was pregnant with their first child, and on January 28 of this year, they jointly announced, "Our family has grown safely," and "We will do our best to ensure that our child loves this world they have been born into."
On this day, Yuzuki Noda, who played the younger version of Makoto Tagasari (played by Okada), and Takuma Kaneko, who played the younger version of Minoru Tagasari (played by Shota Sometani), made a surprise appearance. The two presented Okada and Sometani with portraits they had drawn of them, and Okada gazed at the portraits, visibly moved, saying, "I'm so happy..."
Ayami Nakajo, Haruka Igawa, Goro Kishitani, and JP also appeared at the event.
The drama follows the Tagusari Brothers as they investigate a whirlwind of heinous crimes while simultaneously pursuing the real culprit behind a 31-year-old case of their parents' murder, which expired just two days before the statute of limitations was abolished. The first episode will air on April 17th at 10 PM.
