The official Twitter account (@reboot_tbs) for the TBS Sunday drama "Reboot," which aired in January, has released some behind-the-scenes stories from Meisa Kuroki, who played Mayu, the wife of Gido (Ryohei Suzuki).
In the sixth episode of the drama, Hayase (Suzuki), who survived in Gido's place, visits Mayu, who works at Hayase Confectionery. He tells her that Gido, having embezzled money from an underground organization and being cornered, has fled to a country in Southeast Asia, and lies to her, saying, "It seems there's a woman who ran away with him," before handing Mayu divorce papers.
On X, she wrote, "Mayu has a scar on her forehead. This scar was sustained during the fire at the Gido family's house, and it's really well done," and "Incidentally, the tears in the last scene with Hayase in episode 6 were not in the script. It was truly amazing acting," revealing that Mayu's tears were an ad-lib by Kuroki.
Comments on this post include: "It was a truly moving scene that brought me to tears," "I thought there was something more to it, but in the end, Mayu was just a kind person," "It's one of my absolute favorite scenes," and "I cried so much when Mayu understood everything and said 'thank you' through her tears."
