The drama is based on the manga "DINKs' Ten Months and Ten Days: Is It Wrong to Be a Woman Who Doesn't Have Children?" by Kitamitsu Atsuki. The story follows a couple who are both working and have intentionally chosen not to have children, a "DINKs" (Double Income No Kids) couple, who live a peaceful and free life until the protagonist becomes unexpectedly pregnant due to her husband's planned betrayal. The drama depicts their struggles as they search for the right form of family and continue to face choices with no easy answers.
Before their marriage, Asa told Tetsuya that she had no intention of having children and that if he wanted children in the future, she wanted to break up. Driven by his desire to have Asa, he agreed, saying, "I don't want children in my life."
After they got married, Tetsuya tampered with a contraceptive and succeeded in getting Asa pregnant. He was overjoyed, but became furious when Asa said she didn't want to give birth. He insisted that she absolutely had to have the baby and urged her to give birth.
Tetsuya is obsessed with the idea of having Asa all to himself. "If we have a child, Asa will never be able to escape me. If we have a child, Asa will be mine for life. No matter what happens, I will make sure she gives birth," he resolves.
