GIFT:A side story starring Kyohei Honda, "SHIFT," will be streamed on U-NEXT. Kasumi Mori plays the role of a former delinquent childhood friend (full comment).

It has been revealed that "SHIFT - Those Who Clash and Move Forward -", a side story to the TBS Sunday drama "GIFT" (Sundays at 9pm, starting April 12th) starring Shinichi Tsutsumi, will be streamed on U-NEXT. Kyohei Honda, who plays Keijiro Asatani, a young delinquent in a wheelchair, will star, and Kasumi Mori will also appear as a childhood friend who is a former delinquent and does not appear in the main story.

"GIFT" is a story of bonds and redemption set against the backdrop of wheelchair rugby, a parasport, where Tsutsumi plays Fumito Gotetsu, a genius astrophysicist who helps the underdog team "Blaze Bulls" find answers to difficult problems, and learns the importance of friends and family through genuinely clashing hearts and bodies with his teammates. Honda plays Keijiro, a character who had a bad behavior in high school, and after a motorcycle accident left him in a wheelchair, he continues to get into trouble and live off his parents.

The side story "SHIFT - Those Who Clash and Move Forward -" depicts the friendship between Keijiro and his delinquent friend Okihira Hayato (Kazuto Mokudai), triggered by their reunion with Aoki Mio, a former delinquent childhood friend played by Mori. It is a straightforward coming-of-age side story, and Rintaro Hachimura also appears as Nakayama Kotaro, a player for the "Blaze Bulls".

I will be appearing in "SHIFT - Those Who Clash and Move Forward -," a side story to the Sunday drama "GIFT," which will give you a deeper look at the emotional changes of Keijiro and the others that are not depicted in the main story. I'm Mori Kasumi, and I played the role of Aoki Mio, an original character in the side story. Mio has a hard time being honest with herself, but she's a straightforward and pure girl. I hope you'll enjoy seeing how Mio gets involved in the relationship between Keijiro and Hayato, which isn't depicted in the main story, along with watching the main story.

From the moment I found out there was a side story, I was hoping there was some way I could participate. I'm the same age as Hibikiya-kun, who plays Keijiro, and we spend a lot of time together on set, so I was happy because I had been hoping to act with him more! As for Mokudai-kun, who plays Hayato, although we were acquaintances, we hadn't met on set before, so when we met this time we both said, "Finally!" (laughs).

The story will revolve around Keijiro's world, which wasn't revealed in the main story. Please pay attention to the relationship between Kotaro, whom I play, and Keijiro!
