It has been announced that the second season of the TV anime " Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms ), based on the romantic comedy manga by Ran Kuze currently serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), will begin airing in January 2027. A character PV featuring memorable scenes from the first season of Mona Kawai has been released on YouTube.
It was also announced that a voting project called "Medaka Cute Heart-Pounding Award" will be held. In this project, people can vote for the lines and scenes that made their hearts flutter, and voting for the first round, "Mona Edition," has started on the special website.
"Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms" was first published as a one-shot in Weekly Shonen Magazine in December 2020, and due to its popularity, began serialization in the same magazine in May 2021. It's a romantic comedy about Mona Kawai, a beautiful and stylish girl who is "popular with guys as easily as breathing," and Medaka Kuroiwa, a transfer student and "abstinent boy." It depicts Mona's struggles to win over Medaka, who doesn't even look at her.
The first season of the TV anime aired from January to March 2025.
