"Strange - Junji Ito 's Strange Stories That Will Keep You Up at Night," an anthology-style drama series based on the masterpieces of Junji Ito , known for horror manga such as "Tomie," will begin airing on July 3rd (TV Tokyo, Fridays at 12:12 AM). The tagline for the key visual is "Welcome to the vortex of madness."
This work adapts popular feature-length novels such as " Love Ghost," which depicts the madness and terror hidden within the "Tsujiura" fortune-telling that is popular in a foggy town, as well as other "Phantom Pain House," "The Woman with Ribs," "The Bully Girl," "The Face Thief," "Father's Heart," "Memory," "Used Records," "Pen Pal," "Oshikiri's Strange Tales," "The Earthbound," "Tomio and the Red Turtleneck," and "A Gentle Farewell" into live-action dramas.
The drama will feature appearances by Kanata Hosoda, Yoko Maki, Wan Wan Marui Sakamoto, Yoshizumi Ishihara, Rairin Sugita, Hina Higuchi, Hina Higuchi, Nagisa Saito Yamazaki, Nagisa Saito, Jun Saito, and Yuri Tsunematsu.
The first episode is titled "Love Ghost - The Beautiful Boy at the Crossroads -". High school student Ryusuke Fukada (played by Hosoda) returns to the foggy town where he lived as a child. In this town, there is a strange custom called "Tsujiura" (crossroads fortune-telling), where people have their love lives predicted by passersby at crossroads. One day, a female student dies under mysterious circumstances following a Tsujiura, and rumors begin to spread about an eerie figure known as the "Beautiful Boy at the Crossroads".
As Ryusuke confronts his painful past, he becomes entangled in the horrors lurking in the town and the inexplicable events that unfold... Riko, Matsumiya Rin, Takahata Yuki, Wakai Naoko, Kawasaki Honoka, Wanai Rino, and Takano Nagisa also appear in the film.
