The main visual for "SPY×FAMILY 2: The Bomb Dog Arc & The Luxury Cruise Ship Arc," the sequel to the musical based on Tatsuya Endo 'Win Morisaki popular manga "SPY×FAMILY" (which has also been adapted into an anime), has been released. The visual features characters such as Lloyd Forger, played by Fuka Yuzuki and Kento Kiuchi, Yor Forger, played by Fuuka Yuzuki and Kiho Maaya, Anya Forger, played by a triple cast of Anya Forger, Kana Kozano, and Reika Mano, and Bond the dog. Solo visuals of additional characters, including the garden manager played by Yasuhiro Yamano, have also been released.
The sequel will be a two-part show. Act 1, "The Bomb Dog," will feature Bond the dog, a crucial character, while Act 2, "The Luxury Liner," will feature spectacular action on the cruise ship Princess Lorelei. It will run at Tokyo Tatemono Brillia HALL from September 22nd to October 29th, followed by performances in Fukuoka, Hyogo, Aichi, and Yamagata.
The musical version premiered at the Imperial Theatre (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, currently closed) in March 2023, and became a sensation, playing to sold-out houses every day. It was revived in 2025.
"SPY×FAMILY" began serialization in March 2019 on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+." The story follows a highly skilled spy who creates a makeshift family for a mission and starts a new life. The spy father, the psychic daughter, and the assassin mother live together while hiding their true identities from each other. The comic series has sold over 42 million copies in total.
The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2022, the second season from October to December of the same year, and season 2 from October to December 2023. The theatrical anime film "Spy × Family Code: White" was released in December 2023 and was a huge hit, grossing over 6.32 billion yen. Season 3 of the TV anime aired from October to December 2025.
