"Detective! Night Scoop" (ABC TV, Fridays at 11:17 PM) is a popular variety show where "detectives" tackle bizarre requests and worries submitted by viewers. On July 3rd, the show investigated "finding an unforgettable Shinkenzemi manga." Actress Miki Maya made her first appearance as the special director, with Takanori Takeyama as assistant director and Saori Masuda as secretary.
The request came from a 30-year-old man in Tokyo. He wanted me to find a manga he read when he was in the first year of junior high school, using the Shinken Seminar learning program.
I have a very strong memory of a scene where the protagonist, who has just joined the girls' basketball team, is touching the ball when a senior member scolds her sternly, saying, "Who said you could touch the ball without permission?"
In particular, the senior character was so appealing that I started imagining him and drew a sequel manga. Since then, I've always wanted to see the original Shinkenzemi manga again and see the real senior character again.
For over 10 years, I've searched the internet, visited the homes of classmates who were taking Shinken Seminar courses at the time, and tried every method I could to find it, but I still haven't been able to find it.
