The second episode of the TV anime "MAO," based on the latest work by Rumiko Takahashi , known for manga such as " Urusei Yatsura ," "Ranma 1/2," and "Inuyasha," titled "The Spider Woman," will air on NHK General on April 11th at 11:45 PM.
Having remembered seeing a monster in an accident she was in when she was in first grade, Nanaka realizes that the world connected to the gate of the Gogyo Shopping Street is the Taisho era. Meanwhile, Mao begins investigating a headless incident that seems to be related to the cat demon that cursed him.
The original manga has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan) since May 2019. Set in the Taisho era, it's a dark fantasy x time-slip mystery about Mao, an onmyoji (exorcist) who has lived for 900 years, who meets Kiyoha Nanaka, a girl who has wandered in from the Reiwa era, and together they confront a chain of curses. The anime is directed by Teruo Sato and produced by Sunrise. It will be broadcast for two consecutive seasons.
