It has been announced that a 30th-anniversary project has begun for the TV anime "After War Gundam X," which started airing on April 5, 1996. A 30th-anniversary start visual has been released, featuring the protagonist Garrod Ran , the heroine Tiffa Adill, the moon, and Gundam X.
It was also announced that a 30th-anniversary program, "What Happened After the After War?", will be regularly streamed on the official "Gundam Channel" YouTube channel for the "Gundam" series. Wataru Takagi , who plays Garrod Ran , and Mika Kanai, who plays Tiffa Adill, will appear in the program. A longer version, including previously unreleased footage, will be available on the video streaming service "Bandai Channel". The first episode is scheduled to be streamed in late April.
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the first three works in the "Alternative Series," which are set in a world different from the Universal Century, it has been announced that original sound collections for " Mobile Fighter G Gundam," "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing," and "After War Gundam X" will be released. Shining Gundam, Wing Gundam, and Gundam X, drawn by Hidetaka Tenjin, will be featured on the respective jacket designs. The first limited edition will be in LP jacket format, and the bonus for purchasing all three works together will be a set of acrylic blocks featuring the jacket illustrations in a white box. "G Gundam" will be released on July 15th, "Gundam Wing" on August 19th, and "Gundam X" on September 16th.
"After War Gundam X" aired from April to December 1996 as the third installment of the Alternative series. It depicts the resurgence of a world war and its consequences from the perspective of Earth (the Vulture ship Freeden), which suffered unprecedented damage from a colony drop. The story centers on the battle between the Freeden and the New Earth Federation Forces and the Space Revolutionary Army, with major themes including Garrod's growth as he struggles to protect Tiffa and the existence of "Newtypes" who transcend humanity. The series was directed by Shinji Takamatsu, known for works such as "Brave Express Might Gaine."
