It has been announced that a theatrical anime film, "Detective Precure! The Movie," based on "Detective Precure!", the 23rd installment of the popular anime "Precure" series, is in production and will be released on September 18th. A teaser visual has been released depicting a suncatcher, which fills the space with sparkling light by refracting sunlight through transparent, colorful stones.
The illustration depicts Cure Answer, Cure Mystic, and Cure Arcana Shadow and Cure Eclair, who remain shrouded in mystery in the TV series, all with joyful expressions emerging from a suncatcher. Jet-senpai, Pochitan, Mashutan, and Shushutan are also seen peeking at them, creating a striking visual.
The teaser trailer began with Mikuru excitedly exclaiming, "Hey! I have some big news!!" and showed Anna deciphering three clues given by Mikuru, revealing that the film adaptation has been decided.
The motif of "Detective Precure!" is "detective," and the theme is "seeing, feeling, and thinking for yourself to find the 'real' answer." The main characters are girls who work as detectives with the desire to "help people in need," and guided by a mysterious power, the main character time-slips from the present day of 2027 to 1999. A story of new encounters, friendships, and growth for the Precure transcends time.
Hikari Chiga will appear as Cure Answer/Anna Akechi, Kaede Hondo as Cure Mystic/Mikuru Kobayashi, and Nao Toyama as Cure Arcana Shadow/Aruru Mori. It has also been announced that Cure Eclair, a mysterious Pretty Cure whose true identity is unknown, will appear. The TV anime is currently airing every Sunday at 8:30 a.m. on ABC TV and TV Asahi.
