It has been announced that Akari Kito, Kakeru Hatano , and Natsumi Kawaida will be appearing as voice actors in the TV anime " The Ramparts of Ice ," which is based on the webtoon by Kocha Agasawa that was serialized on the electronic manga service "LINE Manga." The series is a frustrating "coming-of-age tangled story" woven from the misunderstandings of high school students, and Kitou will play a junior member of the group one year younger than the aloof girl Koyuki Koyuki.
Kitou, who plays the cute and popular Kuriki Momoka, commented, "She looks cute and fluffy, and at first glance she seems friendly, but I think she's a very strong girl with a firm sense of self, so I tried to portray her with that strong will at her core."
Hatano, who plays Yuki, the younger brother of Azumi Miki, said, "I wanted to be a bit of an outsider. Even when the atmosphere around me was serious, I wanted to go my own way without being swept up in it! Above all, I was always conscious of 'getting rid of my brain'! And I made sure not to forget to respect Miki! I wanted to be cheerful and energetic!!"
Kawaiida, who plays Akine Atsukawa, a character who appears intimidating due to her calm demeanor and lack of emotional expression, said, "The charm of this work lies in the characters who overthink things and take the long way around because they are too considerate of others. As a viewer, you can't help but feel frustrated, but you also feel like, 'It's not that simple...' I think the charm of this work is that it makes you feel all sorts of emotions! I would be happy if you could join us in feeling confused and overwhelmed (laughs)."
This popular series has surpassed 160 million cumulative views on "LINE Manga" and has sold over 2 million copies of its comic books. It was serialized from January 2020 to April 2022. The story follows Hikawa Koyuki, who is not good at interacting with people and keeps a wall between herself and others. At high school, she spends her time alone, not interacting with anyone except her childhood friend Azumi Miki, but then she meets Amamiya Minato, who for some reason tries to get close to her, and Hino Yota, a laid-back and kind basketball club member...
The anime will be directed by Mankyu and produced by Studio KAI. Anna Nagase will voice Koyuki Koyuki, Fuka Izumi will voice Miki Azumi, Shoya Chiba will voice Minato Amemiya, and Keishi Inomata will voice Yota Hino. It will be broadcast nationwide simultaneously on 28 TBS network stations every Thursday at 11:56 AM starting April 2nd.
