TV Tokyo's popular information variety show, "Shutsugen! Admatic Tengoku" (Saturdays at 9 PM), will feature Akabane (Kita Ward, Tokyo) in its March 28th broadcast.
Akabane is known as a mecca for cheap drinks and casual pubs, with many establishments welcoming morning and daytime drinking. Recently, the competition to offer the cheapest prices has intensified. The program introduces a cheap standing bar with an appetizer, all-you-can-eat giant fried chicken and oden, free offal with every drink order, and a menu that opens at 7 AM!
Furthermore, the book will cover a unique "snack bar" plastered with posters, a bar in Ura-Akabane, the famous "cabbage and egg" dish at a cool, old-fashioned U-shaped bar, an incredibly huge bean paste mochi from a long-established Japanese confectionery shop, and the top recommended singer from a CD shop that serves as a stepping stone for aspiring enka singers.
The guests are the comedy duo "Igo Shogi" and model and TV personality Miyu Ikeda, also known as "Michopa".
