The work is a light novel written by Ichi Ni San and illustrated by Muto Konofumi, and has been published in 14 volumes by Earth Star Novel (Earth Star Entertainment). The story follows Azry, who accidentally refines the divine elixir Eternal Droplet, granting him an immortal body, and who has spent 5,000 years studying magic and sorcery to become an "unconventional" magician. He then sets out on a journey with his companion, his familiar Pochi, to broaden his horizons. It has also been adapted into a comic book.
