It has been revealed that Amamiya Sora, who plays the heroine Mizuhara Chizuru, will be performing the opening theme "Non-Scenario Etude" for the fifth season of the TV anime "Rent-A-Girlfriend," based on Miyajima Reiji's romantic comedy manga currently serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha). Amamiya herself wrote the lyrics and composed the music. The band "Nakigoto" will perform the ending theme "Room 204." A teaser PV has also been released on YouTube, depicting a scene where Kazuya and Chizuru appear to be kissing.
Amemiya commented, "I'm very happy that 'Rent-A-Girlfriend' is the first tie-up work for a song I wrote and composed myself! The bright song has lyrics that I wrote while reading 'Rent-A-Girlfriend' over and over again, so I hope everyone will look forward to the opening theme song!"
"Rent-A-Girlfriend" is a story about Kazuya, a 20-year-old hopeless college student who gets dumped by his girlfriend, who meets Chizuru, a beautiful girl who rents out her girlfriend. The series began serialization in Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2017. The first season of the TV anime aired from July to September 2020, the second from July to September 2022, the third from July to September 2023, and the fourth from July to September 2025. The fifth season will begin airing in April on the late-night anime slot "Animeism" on MBS, TBS, and other networks.
