Comedian Kimimaro Ayakoji will appear on Kuroyanagi Tetsuko's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast at 1:00 p.m. on February 6th.
He is well known for his sharp-tongued stand-up comedy about the elderly, but last year he turned 75 himself, joining the ranks of the elderly. When he renewed his driver's license, he had to take a "senior citizen course," which he said was quite a hassle.
Kimimaro is fascinated by Mount Fuji and lives in Lake Kawaguchi at its foot. He took out a loan to build his house before his big break. He grows flowers, vegetables, and herbs on a nearby farm and serves herbal tea to customers at his teahouse. Here, we take a look at the garden of his "hideaway," which is being shown to the public for the first time.
