The synopsis and stills from episode 5 of the Fuji TV Monday 9pm drama "Yandoku!" starring Kanna Hashimoto, which will be broadcast on February 9th, have been released.
Koonami (Hashimoto) recalls a patient, Miyamura Arisa (Yuyama Niina), whom she treated when she was working at a hospital in Gifu.
Arisa had developed a craniopharyngioma while on a family trip to Gifu and visited the hospital. Anticipating a long treatment period, Koonami wrote a referral letter to Nakata (Mukai Osamu) at Odaiba Wangan Medical Center, which was close to Arisa's home and convenient for outpatient visits.
Upon investigation, Koonami finds out that Arisa was transferred to another hospital after Nakata's surgery and passed away six months ago. When she asks Nakata about it, he says there were no problems with the surgery and that he was unaware of her death. After Koonami leaves, Nakata, with a changed expression, calls Takayama (Otani Ryohei)...
Meanwhile, it has been decided to set up a special room in the orthopedic department, which is always full. During the construction period, the orthopedic staff will also be using the neurosurgery staff room. As the luggage is being brought in, orthopedic doctor Iwasaki Sara (Ugaki Misato) and nurse Sasaki Kanon (Suzuki Yuka) arrive.
Sara posts about her celebrity lifestyle on social media and has 120,000 followers. Apparently, many patients visit her because they admire her. Koonami is annoyed by Sara's typical party girl behavior.
Ohashi Mayu (Kudo Mio), who was being examined by Sara for cervical spondylosis, choked violently after drinking water during rehabilitation. Seeing this, Ko Onami checked the MRI images and pointed out the possibility of another illness. Sara denies it, saying "it has nothing to do with extracerebral disease," but Ko Onami urges them to take another MRI. An abnormal blood vessel shadow was then spotted around Mayu's spinal cord. Ko Onami suggests that it could be a spinal arteriovenous malformation, to which Sara simply replies, "That's an extracerebral disease. I'll leave it to you."
Written by Nemoto Nonji, this hilarious medical entertainment follows Hashimoto as Tagami Kotoha, a former delinquent girl who, after her best friend dies in an accident, studies hard to become a neurosurgeon and brings a breath of fresh air to the medical field.
