The premiere date for the drama "Confession - The Secret of 25 Years -" (NTV, Saturdays at 9 PM), starring Hokuto Matsumura of the popular group SixTONES, has been set for July 11th. The main visual featuring Matsumura and the heroine, Sae Okazaki, has also been released.
"Confession - The Secret of 25 Years -" is a love suspense drama written by Mako Watanabe that depicts the space between love and obsession. The protagonist, Sota Yukimura (Matsumura), who works in the general affairs department of "Nose Cosmetics," has been secretly in love with Mariko Nose (Okazaki), the founder's granddaughter, for 25 years. Eventually, his feelings begin to change into something that could be interpreted as either pure love or madness. Behind this lies a horrific incident and secret that occurred 25 years ago...
The main visual that was released features a striking image of Sota gazing at Mariko. As Sota's gaze suggests complex emotions, Mariko looks in a different direction.
Producer Tsutomu Suzuki commented, "We've created a fantastic poster. The two are so close together, yet their eyes don't meet. What could Matsumura be looking at? Try to imagine."
