Former table tennis player Ai Fukuhara will appear on Kansai TV's talk show "Okabero" (Saturdays at 2:28 PM, Kansai local broadcast) on June 13th. This will be Fukuhara's first appearance on Japanese terrestrial television in about three years, and as soon as she appears, she will greet viewers by saying, "I'm sorry for causing so much trouble..."
She shared anecdotes about her recent life, such as "I didn't have a heater when I moved, so I relied on solar power for warmth," "I'm afraid to go outside," and "I do my shopping online." She also revealed how she met her new husband, a non-celebrity, and how they got married, surprising MC Akira Ishida, who asked, "Does that kind of pattern even happen?"
She also confessed that she had attended a nail art school while pregnant, surprising everyone. At the end of the program, Kanpei Hazama and Shoji Murakami joined in for a "Okabero Table Tennis Special Match."
After the recording, Fukuhara reflected, "It was my first recording since remarrying, so I've never talked about my husband anywhere, and I've never talked about my nails or what I've been up to lately... Okamura (Takashi) has been taking care of me since I was really little, so it felt like I was catching up with a relative, and it was really fun."
She sent a message to viewers saying, "I was nervous because it had been a while since my last recording, but thanks to the warm personalities of Okamura-san and Ishida-san, I was able to relax and it was a very enjoyable recording! Also, I want you to see how beautiful Murakami-san's (table tennis) form is. I was hitting the ball the whole time thinking how beautiful it was (laughs)."
