The key visual for the TV anime "Iwamoto-senpai no Susumei," based on the manga by Hiroshi Shiibashi, known for works such as "Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan," has been released. Amidst falling red flower petals, Iwamoto, Haramachi, Amou, Sasame, Okuaki, and Tachibanajo each have their own emotions reflected in their expressions.
The third promotional video, featuring the opening theme "BUDDING" by the dance and vocal group "THE JET BOY BANGERZ," has also been released on YouTube. The video is packed with action, showcasing the clash of each character's abilities, and also introduces new characters.
"Iwamoto-senpai no Susumei" is a manga currently serialized in the manga magazine "Ultra Jump" (Shueisha), set in 1910s Japan, and is a romantic fantasy depicting the human drama of Iwamoto Kodou, who attends Seihou Middle School, directly under the army, and other people with supernatural abilities.
The anime will feature Taito Ban as the protagonist Kodou Iwamoto, Yuki Sakakibara as Iwamoto's cute junior Kai Haramachi, and Kento Ito as another junior, Souichiro Amaba. Toshifumi Kawase will direct, Keiichiro Ochi will handle series composition, and Atsuko Nakajima will be in charge of character design. Studio Deen will produce the anime. It will begin airing on July 4th on TOKYO MX, Sun TV, and other channels.
