The final episode of the TV Asahi drama series "The Cheated Husband with 3 Months to Live" (Fridays at 11:15 PM, excluding some regions), starring actor Jin Shirasu, will air on June 12th.
Aoi Kosaka (played by Shirasu) has moved her life to the hospital and is about to begin a new treatment. Aoi vows to do her best so that the words she told her son, Ren (played by Ono Koshiro), that "my hospital stay will be a little longer than expected" will not be a lie.
Then one day, her father, Tatsuo (Kazuhiko Nishimura), appears in her hospital room. Tatsuo apologizes to Aoi, who quietly tells him that she can no longer be discharged. Aoi is surprised by this unexpected display of her usually domineering father...
Meanwhile, at the company of Kenji Sunayama (Mitsunori Takahashi), Mizuki's (Hinako Sakurai) affair partner, a briefing session was being held for clients to explain the situation. Mizuki's mother, Ayami (Mariko Tsutsui), burst in and exposed how Kenji had been using Mizuki for money. Mizuki herself then appeared at the venue and confronted Kenji, saying, "You can't have the company, your wife, me, and all the money," but cornered, Kenji pushed her away.
Later, Mizuki visits Aoi in her hospital room. Aoi can't trust Mizuki now, as she's finally expressing her true feelings to him, but she still pleads tearfully, "I want to get to know you, since we were once husband and wife."
To Aoi, Mizuki reveals her past for the first time. She talks about her lonely childhood, how she relied solely on Kenji for support, and how she genuinely believed that she could change if she were with Aoi... Just when Aoi thought that the two could finally face each other honestly after hearing Mizuki's story, Ayami suddenly appears and attacks them.
