The main promotional video for the TV anime "My Stepmother and Stepsister Who Don't Bully Me," based on the manga by Otsuji, which has gained popularity mainly on social media, has been released on YouTube. The video begins with a serious scene in which the protagonist, Nakamura Miharu, the illegitimate child of the Kouzo family, is greeted with solemn expressions by his stepmother Teru and his stepsisters, the eldest daughter Marika and the second daughter Arisa. Contrary to Miharu's expectations of harsh treatment, he receives a kind and warm welcome. The video depicts Miharu's bewilderment and surprise at the kindness shown by his stepmother and stepsisters, who give off an aura of "bullying." Combined with the title call by his stepmother Teru that is frequently inserted, the PV is sure to bring a smile to your face.
It was also announced that singer Lia will be in charge of the opening theme (OP) "Amayadori no Shokei" and the idol group AVAM will be in charge of the ending theme (ED) "Claire".

Contrary to the impression the title might give, this work is a heartwarming story where your heart unravels each time you experience kindness from others. Additional cast members have also been announced, including Kyori Nemoto as Yaeko Kouzo, the cousin of Marika and Arisa, who are stepsisters of the Kouzo family; Yumi Uchiyama as Nago, the head maid of the Kouzo family; and M・A・O as Mitsuya, the new maid of the Kouzo family.
"My Stepmother and Stepsister Who Don't Harsh Me" is a heartwarming comedy about a girl who, after her mother's death, is taken in by a prestigious family and, expecting to be treated terribly because she is the child of a concubine, is bewildered by the unexpectedly kind affection of her stepmother and stepsister, and gradually begins to open her heart to them.
The anime will be directed by Keisuke Inoue and produced by NEWON. Hina Suzuki will voice the main character, Miyu Nakamura, Kujira will voice Teru, the stepmother of the Kouzo family, Yu Yu Serizawa will voice Marika, the stepsister, and Yuka Nukui will voice Arisa, also a stepsister. It will begin airing on tvk (Television Kanagawa), Teletama, Chiba TV, and other channels starting July 8th.
