The final episode of the TV Asahi drama series "The Cheating Husband with 3 Months to Live" (Fridays at 11:15 PM, excluding some regions), starring actor Jin Shirasu, aired on June 12th, and the unexpected ending caused a stir on social media.

Mizuki (Hinako Sakurai) visits Aoi's (Shirasu) hospital room and reveals her past for the first time. She talks about her lonely childhood, how she relied solely on Kenji (Mitsunori Takahashi) for support, and how she genuinely believed that she could change if she were with Aoi...
Touched by Mizuki's feelings, the two thought they could finally face each other honestly, but then Ayami (Mariko Tsutsui) suddenly appears and takes away their son, Ren (Koshiro Ono).
Mizuki suspects that Ren is in the apartment where she shared time with Ayami, and rushes there. In an attempt to save Ren, Mizuki grapples with Ayami, but falls down the stairs and hits her head. With the words, "I hope I can be reborn as Aoi's child...", she is embraced by Aoi, who rushes to her side, and passes away.
