The NHK Taiga drama "BROTHERS IN ARMS （Toyotomi Brothers!）", starring actor Taiga Nakano, will air its 21st episode, "Turbulent Times! Takeda Castle," on May 31st, in which Kodera Kanbei-no-jo Takataka, played by Yuki Kura, will make his first appearance.
"BROTHERS IN ARMS （Toyotomi Brothers!）" is the 65th Taiga drama. With Toyotomi Hidenaga (Koichiro) as the protagonist, it depicts the miraculous feat of unifying Japan together with his older brother Hideyoshi (Tokichiro) through their strong bond, a success story of dreams and hopes.
The script is written by Hiroyuki Yatsu, known for his work on "Hanzawa Naoki" (TBS) and the Asadora drama series "Ochoyan." The music is composed by Hideaki Kimura, and the narration is provided by actress Sakura Ando.
Kodera Kanbei-no-jo Takataka was the castellan of Himeji Castle in Harima Province, and later became Kuroda Kanbei-no-jo Takataka.
Kura, who plays Kanbei, has already had two films released this year, "Love Trial" and "Kyojo Requiem," and is currently appearing in the Kansai TV/Fuji TV drama series "A Vote in the Galaxy." Furthermore, he has upcoming projects such as the films "Blue Lock" and "Matching True Love," making him a noteworthy 26-year-old. "BROTHERS IN ARMS （Toyotomi Brothers!）" will be his first Taiga drama.
Fans of Asadora are also looking forward to a "reunion" with Tortoise Matsumoto, who played his son in the 2020 second half drama "Ochoyan" (and appeared as Arakimura Shige in "BROTHERS IN ARMS （Toyotomi Brothers!）").
