The theme is said to be "What is value?"
Amidst vibrant colors, a girl with a bright, cheerful smile and a boy with a bewildered expression appear. The scene captures a moment in the pouring rain as the two meet at a restaurant with a sign that reads "THE DAY." Inside the paper bag the girl is carrying, we can see fresh green lettuce and red tomatoes, and in the diner, a thick patty with glistening oil is depicted on a hot griddle.
With the tagline, "An exquisite entertainment for everyone living in the modern age!", a hamburger appears, with fluffy buns, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a glistening, juicy patty. Towards the end, mysterious structures and eerie lights streaking across the sky reveal a desolate, enigmatic world, and it is introduced with the words, "On that day, 'you' and 'taste' disappeared from the world."
Shingo Adachi , known for " Lycoris Recoil, " is in charge of the main character design, and Kenta Matsukuma, known for "Kamen Rider BLACK SUN" and "Eleven Bandits," is in charge of the music. CLAP, known for "The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbye" and " The Last Blossom," is producing the film, and the staff who worked on "Pompo the Cinephile" are reuniting for this project.
