It has been announced that the popular anime "Mr. Osomatsu " and the latest TV anime in Pierrot's magical girl series, "Magical Sisters Lulu Lily," will be collaborating. An adorable collaboration illustration has been released that connects the Ichimatsu "cats," depicting Ichimatsu from " Mr. Osomatsu ," who loves cats, doting on Uguisu and Azuki, cat-like creatures that appear in "Magical Sisters Lulu Lily."
" Mr. Osomatsu san" is based on Fujio Akatsuka's gag manga "Osomatsu kun." It depicts the daily lives of the six brothers as adults, and its outrageous gags have made it popular, especially among female anime fans.
The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2015 to March 2016, the second season from October 2017 to March 2018, the third season from October 2020 to March 2021, and the fourth season from July to September 2025. The theatrical film "Osomatsu San Movie" was released in March 2019. The first new anime film commemorating the 6th anniversary, "Mr. Osomatsu-san: The Hippo Tribe and the Shining Fruit," was screened in July 2022, and the second, "Mr. Osomatsu-san: The Soulful Takoyaki Party and the Legendary Sleepover," was screened in July 2023. A live-action film starring the popular group "AAe! group," titled "Mr. Osomatsu: The Human Scum Project!!!!!?" will be released on June 12th.
"Magical Sisters Lulu Lily" depicts the story of two sisters, Fuu Nonoyama, an innocent elementary school student, and Ryuu Nonoyama, a reserved but hardworking middle school student, as they use their magical powers to become idols. It is currently airing on TOKYO MX, ABC TV, TV Aichi, and other channels. It has also garnered attention as this is the first new TV anime in the Pierrot Magical Girl series to air in approximately 28 years, since the fifth series, "Magical Stage Fancy Lala," which aired in 1998.
