The synopsis for episode 9 (airing June 7th) of the TBS Sunday drama "GIFT" (Sundays at 9 PM), starring actor Shinichi Tsutsumi, has been released.
Set against the backdrop of wheelchair rugby, a parasport, the story follows Wutetsu Fumito, a genius astrophysicist played by Tsutsumi, as he searches for answers to difficult problems facing his underdog team. Through genuine emotional and physical challenges, he learns the importance of friendship and family in this story of bonds and redemption. This is a completely original story, with the script written by Tomoki Kanazawa, who has worked on Netflix dramas such as "Sanctuary" and the TV series "Who saw the peacock dance in the jungle?".

The pairings for the Japanese National Championship have been decided. The strong teams Shark and Snake are in Pool A, while the Bulls are in Pool B.
Ryo (Yuki Yamada), who is suspected of having hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, faces the risk that strenuous exercise could be fatal. However, he confides in his mother, Kimiyo (Yumi Aso), and prepares himself for the match.
With their families watching, the Bulls successfully advanced through the qualifiers and secured their place in the final tournament. This motivated Sora (Yuta Tamamori) to put even more effort into creating a song to support them.
Meanwhile, Gotetsu (Shinichi Tsutsumi), concerned about Ryo's health, is struggling with whether or not to use him in the final tournament. And Hitoka (Kasumi Arimura) also learns about Ryo's illness for the first time.
The Bulls have made a miraculous comeback. But then, something strange happens to Ryo...!
