Masaki Aiba of the popular group "Arashi" and TV personality Hiromi will be doing their best to solve people's problems across Japan in the variety show "Aiba Hiromi's Problems, Are You in Trouble?" (TV Asahi, Thursdays at 7pm, except in some regions). On April 23rd, there will be a two-hour special set in Isumi City, Chiba Prefecture, where they will tackle three different problems.
The first setting is the popular local line "Isumi Railway" (currently suspended), known for its spring "rapeseed flower train." Three close friends, all 75 years old, who have worked there for many years, are retiring, and their younger colleagues have asked them for advice on "how to celebrate the retirement of our senior colleagues." Aiba and Hiromi work together with the younger employees to plan a grand farewell party for the three legends who are ending their 57-year careers in the railway industry.
The Isumi Railway's "restaurant train," which ceased operations in 2022, will be "revived" for one day only to fulfill the wishes of three people who wanted to try its cuisine. The original chef will recreate the menu, serving dishes that generously use fresh seafood. Hiromi, who is assisting the chef, is convinced, "I definitely want to try this!" What will the three people's reactions be to the exquisite menu?
Inside the restaurant train, under the guidance of Aiba, who was dressed in a conductor's uniform, three idols who were "singers on Kohaku" made a surprise appearance. Overwhelmed with joy by this unexpected turn of events, the three were moved to tears.
Then, as the biggest surprise from Aiba and Hiromi, they obtained special permission to hold a "last run" for the three who were scheduled to retire without being able to drive due to the suspension of train services.
On this day, they tackle two problems: the owner of a traditional Japanese restaurant wants to make his wife happy because she's too busy with childcare and work, and a fisherman who is busy catching octopuses wants them to clean 900 octopus traps.
