The third episode of the drama series "Toki Sude ni Osushi!?" (TBS, Tuesdays at 10 PM), starring actress Hiromi Nagasaku, aired on April 21st, and it has been revealed that the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region) was 5.7% for households and 3.3% for individuals.
The drama tells the story of Minato Machiyama (played by Nagasaku), who, having finished raising her children, is bewildered by the newfound free time she has at the age of 50, but begins her second life and jumps into a "sushi academy" where she can become a sushi chef in three months. The cast includes Kenichi Matsuyama, First Summer Uika, Motoki Nakazawa, Soma Santoki, and Shiro Sano.
Episode 2 was titled "Mackerel and Survival."
When Kurumi (First Summer Uika) finds an article stating that instructor Oedo (Matsuyama) had beaten an apprentice at the sushi restaurant he used to run, it sends shockwaves through the academy. Principal Yokota (Sekine Tsutomu) orders Oedo to stay home, leaving Minato (Nagasaku) and the others bewildered by the unprecedented situation of having no instructor. Meanwhile, Kurumi is accused by her classmate Mori (Yamaji) of "disrupting class harmony," further isolating her. Seeing the class falling apart, Minato wonders what he can do. At the same time, Oedo visits his master, Hijikata (Kaneda Akio)...and so the story unfolds.
