A variety special program, "Kotaro Koizumi& Kamaitachi's Celebrity Test," in which celebrities who pride themselves on being the most knowledgeable about the entertainment industry gather to try out various questions related to celebrities, will be broadcast on Fuji TV's "Saturday Premium" slot (Saturdays at 9 PM) on April 11th. For this third installment, Kotaro Koizumi Koizumi will serve as the executive committee chairman, and Kenji Yamauchi and Ryuichi Hamaie of the comedy duo "Kamaitachi" will serve as MCs.
Nine celebrities known for their knowledge of the entertainment industry have gathered in the studio to take on a celebrity test: Kazuki Iio from the comedy duo "Zun," model and TV personality Miyu Ikeda, also known as "Michopa," TV personalities Kazuwa Katsumata and Ami Kikuchi, Ryoichi Tsukada from the popular group "ABC-Z," Yuki Hirako from the comedy duo "Alco & Peace," Maki Fukuda from the comedy trio "3-ji no Heroine," quiz writer Fukura P, and singer and TV personality Hiroko Moriguchi.
The first round is a "Quiz on Dramas That Soared in Ratings." The quiz will feature questions from a ranking of classic dramas that became popular after their broadcast began and saw their ratings steadily increase from the first episode. From "The Day I Decided Not to Cry," which aired in 2010, we'll see a certain female celebrity before she became famous. We'll also have questions from "Under One Roof," the timeless family drama that aired in 1993 and has held the record for the highest viewership rating for a Getsuku drama for 33 years. From "Classmates," which aired in 1989, we'll see a fresh-faced Katsumata in his first year after his debut.
The second round is "Star's First Appearance! Who Am I?". The quiz will feature extremely rare footage of the first appearances of celebrities who are now national stars. Takuya Kimura, who has created numerous social phenomena, surprisingly made his first appearance in "Tales of the Unusual" as a quiet young man who came to Tokyo from the countryside. The quiz will also feature footage of the first appearance of a certain big star who appeared as a corpse and then rose to star in a Getsuku drama just two years later, as well as rare footage of a certain comedian who made people say, "He was a child actor?!"
In the final battle between the top three contestants, a wide variety of challenging questions are asked. Questions such as "Who wrote this marriage announcement?" and "Which is the most extreme variation of Diane Tsuda's famous gag 'Goigoisu'?" have led some to exclaim, "It's so difficult, it feels like a different show!" The first champion, Fukura P, and the second champion, Katsumata, also participate, but who will emerge victorious in the final battle...?
After the recording, Koizumi commented, "Even during this recording, I found myself genuinely engrossed in watching past dramas. In particular, the innovative ending of 'Furikaereba Yatsu ga Iru' shocked me even as a child, and when I learned as an adult that it was a work by Koki Mitani, I thought, 'I see. He's truly a genius' (laughs). The debut footage of the stars is also worth watching; they were shining. It's fun to share dramas that hold special memories for everyone. I think people of all generations will enjoy it as if they were participating in a quiz together!"
