NHK's Asadora drama series "Kaze,Kaoru " (NHK General, Monday-Saturday 8:00 AM, etc.), starring Ai Mikami and Juri Kosaka , will begin airing on March 30th. This 114th Asadora is based on the story of two trained nurses (nurses formally trained in the Meiji era), Chika Ozeki and Masa Suzuki. Here, we introduce Iwao Oyama, played by Masahiro Takashima.
Iwao Oyama was the husband of Sutematsu Oyama. He was the Minister of the Army at the time and later became the first Minister of War.
This marks Takashima's first appearance in a Asadora in 38 years, since "Jun-chan no Oenka" (second half of 1988).
"Kaze,Kaoru" depicts the story of two women who graduated from the same nursing school, struggling with how to interact with patients and doctors, clashing with each other, growing as individuals, and eventually becoming the "ultimate buddy duo." Mikami plays the main character, Ichinose Rin, and Uesaka plays the other main character, Oya Naomi.
The script is written by Tomoko Yoshizawa, who has worked on a wide range of genres, from comedies and family dramas to medical dramas and period dramas. The theme song is "Kaze to Machi" by the three-member band "Mrs. Green Apple".
