It has been announced that actor Masakazu Kanda will be joining NHK's information program " Asaichi " (Monday-Friday, 8:15 AM) as a reporter. He will take over from Jun Soejima, who has been the Tuesday reporter for about nine years, and will be in charge of the Tuesday segment starting March 31st. In conjunction with Kanda's appointment as reporter, the popular Tuesday segment "TwiQ Rakuwaza" will be renamed and revamped as "Tokimeki! Happywaza".
Kanda was born on January 4, 1994, making him 32 years old. He hails from Chiba Prefecture. In addition to appearing in numerous dramas, including the same network's " Shijiki Fudosan Special" (2024), he played the "Yellow" warrior Gojutyranno/ Ryugi Bakugami in the Super Sentai series "No.1 Sentai Gozyuger " (TV Asahi), which aired its final episode in February of this year.
Kanda appeared on the program on the 17th, ahead of its broadcast on the 31st. She said, "It's my first time doing location shooting and my first time hosting a live broadcast, so I'm nervous, but I think I'll gradually get used to the atmosphere on set and one day I'll be able to enjoy it! The atmosphere in the studio was very friendly and warm, even more so than it appears on TV. I'll be in charge of 'Tokimeki! Happy Techniques,' so I hope to do my best to make both the viewers and the staff feel excited. Thank you!"
Soejima, who will continue to liven up the program in another segment of " Asaichi," commented, "I have been supported by many people over the past nine years. I am truly grateful to everyone who has been involved with the program up until now. From April, I will be in charge of the 'Minna! Green Dayo' segment on Fridays in ' Asaichi,' so I hope you will continue to support me."
