It has been revealed that actress and singer Erika Ikuta is appearing in the new TV commercial for the carbonated beverage "Mitsuya Cider," titled "Drink the Blue Sky and Go On," which began airing on March 17th.
In the commercial, Ikuta covers "Aoi Haru" by the rock band "SUPER BEAVER" while playing the acoustic guitar and singing. The commercial depicts how drinking "Mitsuya Cider" under a blue sky clears both mind and body and lifts one's spirits.
Asahi Soft Drinks' official YouTube channel has released the full commercial along with behind-the-scenes footage and an interview with Ikuta. When asked about her memories of "Aozora" (Blue Sky), Ikuta said, "The first song I was given the opportunity to be the center of while I was in Nogizaka46 was titled 'Nandome no Aozora ka?' (How Many Times Has the Blue Sky Appeared?), so I feel a sense of familiarity and special feelings towards the blue sky, and I also feel like I've become a 'sunshine girl' ever since I performed that song (laughs)."
When asked about her "exciting memories" like those of Mitsuya Cider, she revealed, "Nogizaka46 was my youth. Of course, the live performances are exciting, but in my case, I get really hyped up on the bus ride home after the show (laughs). I'm the only one who's really excited, and everyone often tells me to 'calm down!' (laughs)."
